Bilingual Story Times

Join your child for story times at the Basalt Regional Library. Bilingual Story Times are a combination of books, fingerplays, and songs in both English and Spanish geared towards children through age five.

Book Babies

Every Monday at 10:30 in the Tree House for babies up to age two.  Caregivers learn how to share books, rhymes, games and music with infants. No registration required.

Toddler Rhyme Time

Every Wednesday at 10 am in the Tree House for ages two to three.  Stories, songs and nursery rhymes for your child and you. No Registration Required. 

Preschool Story Time

Register for six weeks on either Tuesday or Thursday at 10:30 in the Tree House for ages three to five. Children will practice reading skills with picture books, songs, and crafts.  Registration Required! Registration forms are available in the Kid's Branch at the library.

Drop-In Story Time

Every Wednesday at 11 am in the Tree House for all ages. Stories, songs and rhymes for everyone! There is no registration required for this program.  Limited to 15 children on a first-come, first-served basis. No large groups please (5 or more).

Cool Games & Crafts

Monday through Friday at 3:30 to 4:30 and all day Saturday, for ages 8 and up. Board games will be available for afterschool fun and occasional crafts or activities offered.

Mad Science 

Once a month at 3:30-4:40 for children in second through fourth grade. Young scientists will have fun exploring a science theme every month. Registration Required! YAC

Love books, music, writing, and movies? Want to talk about it? Then this group is for you! Youth Advisory Council Meeting (YAC) is for patrons in grades 3-8.   Choose books, movies, games, and music for your library. Assist in creating and presenting library programs. Have a voice at your library!  Meetings for YAC are every first Wednesday of the month from 3:30 until 4:15.  Ask for an application today! 

On the third Wednesday of every month, readers in grades 4-7 will meet to discuss their favorite books.
