Programs in February

  • Telsa QuartetThe Basalt Regional Library is delighted to welcome back the Tesla Quartet in performance on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at 5:30 in the Community Room of the library. For those of you who attended last year's program, you know what a treat is in store for us! The Tesla Quartet was formed at The Juilliard School in 2008 by Ross Snyder, Xian Meng, Megan Mason, and Kimberly Patterson, and it has been quickly making a name for itself. The ensemble currently holds a fellowship at the Graduate String Quartet-in-Residence at the University of Colorado-Boulder, where they study with the world-renowned Takács Quartet. Community involvement and outreach are integral parts of the Tesla Quartet's mission. The ensemble just began its second year in partnership with the Aspen Music Festival's Musical Outreach and Education program. BRL's collaboration with AMFS and funds from the Aspen Thrift Shop makes possible this musical offering to our community.
